Welcome to the Henfield Haven
The 'safe haven' for the Henfield community

Picture
The Henfield Haven launched in 2015 when a group of local volunteers, working with West Sussex County Council, agreed a plan to take over the Henfield Day Care Centre from the Council. This had been funded in part by  grants  from WSCC and by several other fundraising activities. It very soon proved to be an invaluable and much loved resource and, in June 2020, the Haven was honoured with the Queen's Award for Voluntary Services - the highest award for such services - and a fitting tribute to our many volunteers.
With the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, funding was withdrawn in June 2020, and the Haven began its life anew as a self-supporting organisation dedicated to offering high-needs dementia care, carer support, friendship and company for those who are vulnerable or isolated - all run by a wonderful team of volunteers. The Haven continues to be an essential part of the village and its outlying communities, offering a secluded and safe environment to meet.
