Challenge Annie 2025 - 10 in 10 - COMPLETED!

This year, Henfield Haven celebrates 10 years of life-changing dementia support.

To mark this milestone, local hero Anne Dewdney took on Challenge Annie - 10 challenges over 10 months to raise funds and awareness.

Anne’s mission is deeply personal. Her husband, Rohan, was diagnosed with Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD) at just 56, and the Haven has been by their side every step of the way. For Rohan, it’s a safe, welcoming space where he finds companionship and care. For Anne, it’s been a vital source of respite and strength - more than just a centre, it’s become a second home.

From fitness feats to daring adventures and community events, Anne’s challenges have pushed her limits and brought everyone together to support the Haven’s incredible work.

What started as a simple idea turned into 10 incredible months of challenges, determination and community spirit - and what a ride it’s been!

From January to October, Anne Dewdney took on a brand new challenge each month to raise vital funds for The Haven. Here’s how it went:

🏋️ February: HenRox (Hyrox) fitness
🚶 March: Laps of Kingsfield
🏃 April: Brighton Half Marathon
🌊 May: A Dip a Day
🚴 June: Spinathon
✈️ July: Wingwalk
🪂 August: Skydive
⛰️ September: Snowdon climb
💇 October: Nose piercing & head shave

Each month brought laughs, nerves and incredible support from everyone — all leading up to a very special moment at The Haven’s 10th Anniversary Celebration, where Anne revealed the final total raised:
