In 2025, Henfield Haven will celebrate a milestone - 10 years of dedicated support to our community. For a decade, the Haven has served as a lifeline for those affected by dementia and their families, transforming from a modest day care centre into a bustling hub of care, compassion, and connection. To honour this anniversary and the Haven’s incredible support, long-time Henfield resident Anne Dewdney is embarking on a truly remarkable journey: Challenge Annie - 10 in 10.

Starting in January, Anne will take on 10 unique challenges over 10 months, each one designed to raise awareness of dementia and rally support for Henfield Haven’s vital work. From physical endurance to daring feats and community-focused events, these challenges are as varied as they are inspiring. Some will test her physically, some will push her courage to new limits, and others will involve friends, family, and the entire Henfield community.

Anne’s mission is deeply personal. Her husband, Rohan Dewdney, was diagnosed with Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD) a decade ago at the age of just 56. Rohan, a well-known local businessman and lifelong Henfield resident, has been supported by the Haven through each step of his journey. The Haven’s compassionate care has allowed Rohan to enjoy meaningful companionship in a safe and welcoming space while providing Anne with essential respite. The Haven has been more than a centre to them - it has been a second home, a supportive hand, and a source of strength through the challenges of dementia.
